The Fixy DS (double strap) soft wrist holder is mainly used as a (skin) freindly alternative to heavier wrist restraints with safety locks. The wristband feels soft and comfortable on the patient’s skin. The Fixy DS soft wrist holder is suitable for patients in a postoperative situation, in the intensive care unit or stroke unit. The Fixy DS has two fastening straps and these must be attached to a moving part of the bed. By spreading the two attachement straps (Triangle procedure), one can decide in high-risk situations to limit the patient’s range of motion.
