The Mitty Air (double security) has double hook-and-loop fasteners for extra security so patients cannot open the mitt easily. The fingers are not separated here and the hand can move freely
The security mitt ensures that patients cannot pull out tubes/IV-lines or injure themselves. As part of “constrained induced movement therapy”, security mitts can improve motor skills after a stroke. By preventing tube/line pulling, costs and personnel expenses are saved.
