Resuscitation requires a hard, non-compressible surface. A soft surface, such as a mattress, provides too little counter pressure. You then press the patient’s body into the matress, instead of pressing the chest. The CPR Board creates such a hard, non-compressible surface. It comes with a cover for mounting under the frame of the canopy bed.
