The FeelSafe Basic canopy bed provides a safe sleeping environment for restless and fall-prone residents, without disease awareness, who regularly leave the bed unattended. These include frail elderly, severely emaciated clients, residents with wandering behaviour or with some form of acute confusion and/or delirium. The canopy bed prevents the use of physical restraint and/or sedating medication. In the bed, residents can move freely and lie and sleep in their preferred position. The canopy is fully padded, so the resident cannot hurt or injure themselves. The diminutive environment provides a sense of security and protection, which positively affects the day-night rhythm. This provides peace of mind for both the resident and caregiver.

The FeelSafe Basic is height-adjustable so that nursing staff can work at the correct height. Unlike the FeelSafe Pro canopy bed, the FeelSafe Basic has no mattress platform adjustment. The bed has a homely look due to the use of a wooden base.
